Hazy memories and Apocalyptic Dreams

I have to utilize this space more often. I've been having a string of similar feeling, themed-dreams which keep eluding my memory. The most common running theme is that of long, white suburban buildings against a view of a blooming overcast sky, moving as if being seen from the inside of a car. One, or two, (at least) have been themed around my father...ah I 'm remembering that one at least;

We were leaving the house and driving through our town, in a perfectly normal, realistic way; nothing about the layout of the town or our car is out of the ordinary. Until he passes me a joint to share with him while driving. It initially seems like we're going to some family member's home for some gathering of sorts but things get a little hazy, I remember a house of sorts and I end up at this site of this ruined cathedral which is actually just an arrangement of torn walls and pillars with the canopy of trees and sky for a ceiling. There are girls I know, and others whom I don't know, gathered there, waiting for me to "start". They all seem very eager and excited to "get the show on", and I begin to feel giddy and kiddish and ready to go, and tell everyone to stand back. As I begin my preparations, I see this arrangement of female angel statues gathered around a rectangular, low altar of sorts that is either a red velvet pillow or some structure covered in a red velvet cloth. It seems there is some artifact there, a chalice and maybe some candles I believe, but I'm not certain.

So I decide to finally "begin", and start performing a flashy spell a video game character I know uses in battle. It basically entails the manifestation of a giant golden circle with concentric rings of gold and stove-flame-blue and script of various divine names and spirit names within, layering above eachother somewhat and floating and rotating through the air as a whole, following a circular, spiralic trajectory. In the game this originates from it's known as some variation of an "Apocalypse" spell. Knowing this, I warn the girls and others to keep away from the floating, traveling ring as I begin to position it to be placed upon the central altar surrounded by angel statues (each angelic figure placed outside of a corner of the altar and facing towards it as well, I forgot to mention). I know something terrible will happen to them if they make contact with the spell, especially as it unites with the altar, and feel someone, some voice in the distance warning me. A team of people in strange bio/radiation-suits appear in the entrance of the ruined cathedral and tell me to stop what I'm doing, saying things like "do you know what you're about to do??" I understand, apparently, but know that it's too late and it'd be far more dangerous to try to let the energy of the spell go rather than to have it follow the course that's been set for it. I see the girls lost in their fervor and zeal, and begin to gather around the altar as the rings descend, reaching up towards the active spell."NO!" I shout, but it's too late; they make contact with the rings and a giant vertical explosion of fire and arcane energy shoots upwards from the spell as it unites with the altar, and a blinding flash of light envelops the area.

Smoke seethes from the signed remains of the even-more-ruined cathedral as everyone begins to regain consciousness, and I see disfigured girls screaming in agony, looking like they've been exposed to ludicrous amounts of radiation. Others were in the process of turning into stone; some were already completely transfigured. The suited team of people is prompt in tending to the damage and the wounded/affected; they've seen this before and knew what to do. Following their standard procedure they began collecting the girls both as specimens and as patients of quarantine. Their condition seemed to be contagious and radiating an effect on the surrounding environment. For some reason no one seems to put any blame on me or chastise me for my actions...everyone's just focused on attempting to repair the damage. I feel stupid for doing this and regret my actions. How did I even end up in that strange witch-cult to begin with?

Dream ends with a view of the bloom of an over-cast sky through the scarce canopy of some thin tree branches.
