A "soul song"

This is a "song" (for lack of a better word) that was transcribed from a particular old altered song my father sang many years ago, transcribed from dream states over many years. I still have the audio somewhere. I cannot find any reference anywhere on the Internet of the original song that manifested the "secret" altered version, which I find strange. I believe the title of the original is "Living Out West" and there is a line about someone "combing their hair with a wagon wheel" (not from "Old Dan Tucker", though it seems to have a few of the same lines). There have been several changes and reexamination of what the phrasing actually is, but for the most part, this is the main present version with notes. Even the last copy (from 1995) has a couple lines which I have since learned are likely something else. I could check the original audio, but it would be hard to find presently. This is as it stands (November 2013), most of it as correct as possible.

"A soul's truth is fierce halo fuzzy"
"Hey world are you there at all I have a riddle"
"Yeah gods that be let me ask you"

"Yeah I know well she's nearly lost or weak" (could also be "lost her wish", "lost her week" or even "lost her wig", meaning an angry rage.)

"There are no stars in the afternoon" (an apparent sarcasm towards astrology or people who promote it - a common dream theme).

"Hey let me ask you please knowing old book" (Not fully sure if this is "book" - a reference to the Bible perhaps, or "Puck" - a mischievous sprite in English folklore. I only say this because a book can't "know" or truly teach as it is just an inanimate object, but it may be symbolism of someone consulting a book.)

"They're stalling it they're slowing us down"
"Now she's a heathen oh well"
"Long ago, aw, they're selfish" (a funny hearing of this was "all their shellfish".)
"That would be as many as nine I know" (reference to hydra or nine-headed dragon as the devil?)
"Beautiful Zsuzsanna (also 'Savannah') herbs for her"
"Fuel the little girl running with the Mighty One" (I now think this is "fool" rather than "fuel" as it makes more sense in light of some of the other lines and may relate to brainwashing and manipulation relating to using herbs a certain way as my wife's mother actually did.)

"Hades, have you lost a serpent?"
"Hey you've wasted her Easter will" (could also be "Eastern will", not positive.)
"Now her old pa, his gain of nerve"
"A hydra coming out today"
"Long ago he swum magnificent"
"Not worry but my need will keep" (the audio is like "need'll keep" which I had once assumed was "needle deep" relating to being the victim of a Voodoo doll.)

"Oh hickory rhythm, oh hush Abraham" (sounded more like "oh hush hey Brigham" as in Brigham Young. Hickory rhythm refers to disciplining someone by striking them with a hickory gad. Also possible is "oh hush hey bring'em".)

"I won't tarry for my dare hey" (this phrasing always seemed a bit out of place before I resolved the more logical version - used to imagine "I own a dairy for my dearie", "I won't tarry for my diary", and other silly lines.)
"Black hair (or 'back here') it's her idea, her wish"
"His child will not grow she's really hateful"
"That angry-rhythm'd heart feared music"
"That often grew oh well"
"Back in the Garden the Door opened and I felt something" (possibly "I failed at something". Alternate versions were "backed into God" which is a bit odd, and "back into God")
"That naked man with no key"
"I'm near the Door and with most I mourn"
"They'll pick me as soon as there's not enough"
"These feet get used to the bed" (alternate "these three get used to the dead".)
"These who are here with a rare singer"
"I'm the Key but the world wouldn't lead her up."
"I couldn't say why she's not here."
