Morning of December 21, 1968. Saturday.

Although this sparsely recurring dream was not directly precognitive (and not tagged as such), the first time I ever had the same impression/feeling long after I last had the dream in real life was when the 1985-1987 "Amazing Stories" (Steven Spielberg's) series came about. It showed a flying book at the beginning. However, that book in the real television show was more like an actual flying book in that it actually moved its front and back cover like the wings of a bird, which I thought was a fantastic, surreal idea. My dream was not quite like that, though, even though it involved a larger flying book.

In my dream, I was in the playground and had a book that was sort of heavy, with a kind of "magnetic" feel to it. As I held onto it, it actually lifted me into the air as I gripped it and I sort of swirled around, almost feeling a bit dizzy, going very high up and swooping very low to the ground. I experienced a recurring scene where I was holding onto the book and at least three classmates (at least one female, Tina L, I think) were hanging on in a ladder-like formation, like a "chain" of sorts, hands to feet, each to the previous, with no one falling. I do not directly recall the title or subject of the book in all variations of my dream, but I am fairly certain it was the 1930s textbook a teacher gave me, "Our World Today: Europe and Europe Overseas" in one version. (However, it could also have been implied to be the Bible in one version or "reset".)

Thinking about this more closely, it seems apparent and fairly obvious that it felt nice to be the only one to have received a book that had been at the school for so many years (which was built in 1941, I believe) simply for having reading skills that were several years ahead of my classmates, so this was probably associated with "flying". In real life, I had also received a special award for being the best reader at that time.
