Night of October 18, 1974. Friday.

This dream was apparently based on a movie I had seen about fifteen minutes or so prior to sleeping. It mostly involved being on a submarine, seemingly mostly in my “orb” form, or at least “phased” so that nothing directly threatens me.

I mostly only see close-up images of snakes. Their head rises up a bit as if they are aware of me but I am not touched in any way. I do seem to be lying on a bunk-bed at one point, which is a bit uncomfortable. I can clearly hear the snakes hissing. What is unusual is that the hissing of the snakes eventually seems to be caused by some sort of electricity that is somehow “melting” them. I see liquorice-like sections drip slightly and fall from a horizontal metal grill. This is not the first time when electricity has “melted” things in my dreams.

Not much happens. I do not see any other people at any point. I am not aware of any of my own body parts. There is a subtle eeriness of not being in my Cubitis bedroom (the bed longways along the north wall with the head at the west area at the time in reality) but instead being fairly deep under the ocean, not quite claustrophobic.

I am later again aware that a snake in a dream may represent the human intestine and its present state of health (primarily because of its shape and coiling). I wonder if this has something to do with taking Alka-Seltzer for a bit of indigestion, as it does “hiss” and sound like the “sizzling” I hear in-dream.
