Astral/My Attempt at Shapeshifting

July 10, 2015

I did the same meditation (see previous dream) and was able to start leaving my body.

I am staying at a friends house and she has to keep her cats in separate rooms because they hate each other and fight.
Each time I leave my body the cat Oliver who is orange, attacks me, first from under the covers and then as I try to escape the room. This is strange because he is a very loving cat.
I find it impossible to leave this room no matter how hard I try. I try fly out of the ceiling by jumping up but I float back down. Then I figure if I jump on the bed it will let me fly out somehow. Each time the cat is there ready to attack, and it actually hurts me.

Finally after numerous tries and projections, I back into the wall and this allows me to escape. I walk around the yard and look around. I am clearly in a different dimension now, the house looks different and the fence and gate is painted white with pink and blue trimming. I see a few people standing around looking a little lost. They then notice me and begin to stare in a soulless way. I notice if I say something first, it helps my fears that they may be a threat. So I make small talk and they stare at me and say a couple things. These people are very strange looking I thought. One of them looked very off with small eyes, and an egg shaped head with tiny lips. I made my way to a park. There was a little girl running around, she was about 8 and had a ponytail. She didn't seem interested in talking to me. Then I turned to the right and there was a child about 5 years old. It looked like her hair was burnt off and her face had gangrene. It peeled away on the left side with greys and greens. I immediately looked away, in the hopes that she would not cause me fear. She was so bad off that it made my heart sink and my stomach turn, I moved on.

I wondered what to do. I couldn't seem to fly, I wanted to explore space but I couldn't reach high enough.
"I know!" I thought, "I can practice shapeshifting!" I knew what animal to do, a crow. I leaped off the ground. I couldn't change. I saw a shadow of a wolf land on the ground in front of me as I floated back down. I wanted to shape shift into a crow not a wolf I thought. Then a crow flew beside me. I started flapping my arms like they were wings and flew up with it. I flew with it for a little while. Trying to copy it and become it, but it wasn't working. I felt a little sensation that my arms became wider like wings.

I woke up. My friends cellphone went off and startled me back awake. I was started enough that I was not able to astral travel again without entering a meditative state. I was ok with it because I had the feeling not to try again.

Conclusions and Notes:

1) I felt like I was feeling the cat's feelings of being trapped in the room, since it was so hard for me to get out. It almost holds a lesson as well, it might look like your trapped in the room, but only to your eyes. By backing into the wall I was able to escape, because I no longer saw the boundaries.

2) Why was the cat attacking me? It could have been that it was protecting the room from entities. When I came out of the house, there was~ some strange people lurking around.

3) Talking to/Approaching the strange confused people, made them less likely to attack or try scare me. It made me look intimidating, so they backed off. The egg- shaped headed woman looked like she was trying to steal my soul through her eyes until I spoke to her.

4) Seeing the wolf shadow as I was trying to shape shift into the crow made my subconscious tell me that I should try wolf. But I wanted to fly and I'm convinced that I went through that crow eating my arm for a reason.
What could this black shadow wolf be? Was he from "White Wolf Half Awake" dream? Perhaps he was just protecting me.

5) It could be that I was not strong enough in the astral plane because I was drinking that night. I definitely had no extra energy inside me. When I tried to muster some up, it just woke me up as usual. It has happened in the past though, that alcohol has allowed me to project. It is a strange win-lose situation it seems.

6) A month later, my friend was driving me to drop off my friend at her house. To my amazement, I saw the very park that I was in. My heart skipped a beat. It was not to far away from her house either.

7) just like the other day, the crows were yelling again outside the window.
