This dream I had a while ago, but I keep thinking about it. . .
I forget the details of how the dream starts, but I'm with Dusty and a bunch of other friends. We are on the coast up on some cliffs exploring. We go into a mouth of a cave (I feel know as if we're running away from something). We go deep into the cave and find ourselves well deep into the earth. An opening presents itself and as we walk up to it, it opens up to another cave! Steps going down to two landings with a river of lava brightening up the space. (A lot like the second matrix where someone gives a speech and they have this huge dance party). We all start to walk down and I find myself being directed to the upper landing. It's smaller and a bunch of us are sitting in Indian style. As I look down to my right I see the lower landing. Dusty's down there! We make eye contact and run to each other, looking into each others eyes and smile. We hug strongly and passionately. We know we wont be seeing each other again. At that moment I knew I wouldn't be seeing any of my family or friends again. I was strangely OK with this. There are a few familiar faces in the group I'm in, which was comforting. I wasn't sitting for too long when the ledge we were on broke off and started hovering over the river of lava. I look to down the other ledge and it does the same. It's moving! we all duck close to the floor and hold on to each other. I was on the edge and when the block we're on turned and I almost fell off. I had hands of new friends pull me up. What an intense ride.
I woke up shortly after that and the ledge kept moving faster and faster over the river of lava. When I woke up the feeling of letting go was so strong. I knew then I wouldn't be seeing my family and I was to be somewhere else. I love my parents and siblings, husband and friends; but these bodies of ours are so temporary. I will forever cherish the memories I have here in this lifetime (as to all my lifetimes). What an exciting journey that we continuously create.

journey—are rites of purification (29). The archetype of the journey is the pilgrimage to the ‘Centre’ or the holy land—or the way out of the maze. The Night
Sea-Crossing, equivalent to the Journey into Hell, illustrates certain basic aspects
of journey-symbolism which still call for elucidation. Primarily, to travel is to
seek. The Turkish Kalenderi sect require their initiates to travel ceaselessly, since,
as we have suggested, travelling is often invested with a higher, sublimatory
significance.
