there really isnt a good way to classify what i am about to talk about here. it's a dream a vision an experience and a reference article. i almost want to stick a flag into the ground at this moment to show that this is where the real stuff begins. the shift, the big one, the talk that everyone has had on their lips for so long, i'm here to tell you it's not "gonna happen"...it already has happened, it is happening. now.

leaps of consciousness happen in seamless transitions. although these are radically speeding up, it is not a sudden shift. it's always been happening and one of the first indicators of this new age has been the advent of global communication. we are now reaching a point where it's more odd to meet people who are not online some way. all generations, races, genders creeds...they all have a say in this place and are using it more frequently than ever. the advent of social networks such as dreamcatcher are prying open the door and peering into a new (yet timeless) facet of our potentially limitless collective mind. the digital age is ushering in a huge wave of human connectedness, and these sorts of sites are testament to how people want to gather, what they want to talk about and ultimately what they want to create in here. it is an exercise in creative free reign. Facebook has bothered me for it's homogeneity and lack of imagination, but impresses me in it's ability to create a powerful type of communication experience by simply creating an interface. tell me dreamcatcher isn't a BILLION times more cool. this is just the beginning of the creation process of the gathering places of the new mind.

there is lots of myth and uncertainty in the new mind. i won't say it's a new world because i think that the new world is gonna be ALOT like the old world physically, and truly this is the test of humanity. to seee if we can figure out how to physically maintain the vastness of the intelligence we are creating with out poisoning ourselves and the earth. currently it seems like humanity is on galactic trial. apparently we are not exactly a full success: if one defines success by our ability to thrive in our environment. lots of war and poverty here still. not all of humanity feels as connected to a human a planetary whole, as we do. if we destroy the earth, there is theoretically no place to house our consciousness (except space i guess). we are the earth. our bodies are key. hopefully we will use the connectedness of the new human mind to solve our problems..not try to escape from them. it's up to us really.

i feel like the community here is already mostly on the same page. often i feel like this page is a lot more commonly shared than us individualist westerners like to imagine. we see ourselves as incredibly unique beings, and yet the new mode of consciousness is showing us that we share a lot in common with the minds and mindsets of a huge amount of the world's population...except that we are living in a land less stricken with the implications of VAST population, and can imagine ourselves as having the space to be free. try telling that to the average citizen of delhi. here, tho, on the net, and in places like dreamcatcher, we are creating the frameworks for the coming generation of liberated human minds. we are starting to track the shared pieces of our myths, to connect and to collaborate, to remember what we have forgotten and to envision what we are to become. this site is more than just a place to share dreams, it is a framework for helping us to ease more deeply into the apparent reality that "life is a dream". the more skilled we are at dreaming, the more incredible and potent this experience becomes.

i can't tell you all how awesome it is to finally be here. this is what i hoped would replace tribe.net. instead we got facebook, which encourages the commodification of thought by promotion, and the truncation of ideas by condensing thought into tiny blips. i feel like every post here has to be crafted, as something we are consciously wanting to represent as a facet of ourselves. intentional dreaming, a chronicling of the deepest levels of conscious and subconscious selves. this is a golden opportunity.

in addition to simply being a place of infinitely more crafted communication, the wizards behind the curtain of dreamcatcher have been foresighted enough to allow s a more sophisticated hand at designing our profiles and posts. adding images to illustrate our points, creating customized backgrounds which can change, we are one step further into a place of encouraging a collaborative canvas while still maintaining the integrity of a well crafted design structure. dreamcatcher rules.
