I am in front of a tall plain castle that does not have any particular features that make it particularly inspiring. There are several screened windows that look into the bottom floor rooms, some have curtains preventing me from looking inside. I walk by the first window to see a very beautiful room the wall and pillars inside intricately sculpted and detailed gold designs. I have a sense of fear of what is inside the room even though there is no apparent living being or object inside the room. Maybe it is the lack of anything living that induces this fear. I go to the next room who's curtain prevents me from seeing inside. I have so much fear about what might be behind the curtain that it provokes me to bang on the screen and scream, perhaps trying to cover up my fear by instilling fear upon whatever is behind the curtain. I am met by a ferocious dog barking right back at me, making me jump.

in the Mesapotamic poem of Ishtar’s Descent into Hell. The action of parting
curtains, rending veils or clothing, stripping off diadems, cloaks or bracelets,
