School Burned Down

I am in my room, getting ready to go to bed. I close the shades on my window, before I get the idea that I want to look out with my binoculars. I turn off the light to my room and look around for them, but they're not in any of the places I thought I'd left them. I give up and just go to bed.
Next day I wake up and go to school. It is raining and so dark it looks like night time. When I arrive, I find that my school has burned down completely. All that stands is a few brick walls. The rest is ash. I see a ton of students migrating from the high school to the middle school down the street, not sure where else to go. I follow them. When we get to the middle school we go into the office. I wait my turn in line and tell the office lady what has happened, and I ask her what to do. I tell her that I am worried that I will be counted as late. She tells me, "You're not late. You're not going to have school for several weeks, so you shouldn't be worrying about it." In her tone, she makes me feel bad for being worried. She tells me to go ahead and go. She never looks up into my eyes. She's busy filling out a students planner.
I leave, passing the long line of students both from the high school and from the middle school. When I get to the sidewalk across the blacktop, I see my friend Bell and her boyfriend. They greet me and Bell tells me that they're going to go for a run. She asks if I want to join. I accept, and they take off down the sidewalk toward the one-ways. I run after them, but my shoes are on my feet funny. My heels aren't in my shoes at all, and no matter how hard I stomp I can't get them to just slip in. I have to run slow to avoid loosing my shoes. I know I should just stop and pull them on, but I don't want to loose sight of them in the process, so I just run slowly after them. We wind around the streets, turning corners and crossing streets. I barely keep up with them. When they stop at a house, I finally pull on my shoes all the way. Now I am ready, and excited. But, instead of continuing, they go inside the house. Bell says it will just be a minute, so I follow them in. I don't want to be here, I want to keep running. I finally get my shoes on my feet good, and now we're going to quit? I didn't even really get to run.
Once inside we are greeted by this crazy guy, and we're surrounded by all this odd tech equipment. He's "staying off the grid". Bell follows her boyfriend, who follows the guy downstairs. I unwillingly follow. Once downstairs, the guy starts giving us a lecture about how the government has told people to keep quiet. To not talk. I ask questions, curious what he's talking about. The more he says, the more it becomes obvious that the burning down of my school was not an accident. It was planned, to keep people quiet. [End]

Keep Quiet = The news was turned on right toward the tail end of this dream, and Megan Kelly was talking about how there is a possibility or something that the survivors of the Embassy attack were told to keep quiet by the White House.
Binoculars = I'm always told to close my window when I go to bed because "there could be someone with binoculars looking in".
Rain = It was raining the day leading up to the dream, and it hasn't rained in a long time.
