Audrey in the Basement

I am walking down the sidewalk toward the front doors to the high school. Everyone walks in twos, including Mary, but I am all alone. Someone in a hood comes and stands next to me. I try to figure out who it is, getting my hopes up that I'll have a new friend. As it turns out, it is Audrey. She laughs at me and speeds up to walk next to Travis, leaving me alone again.
Now I am in my front yard talking to my mom and Granny, when I spot a mailbox on the side of our house behind some bushes. The house used to be a complex though now it is just a single family house. They forgot to take down the other mailbox when the change was made, however. I suggest that we use it for our gardening gloves and tools. Just then, mass hoards of people arrive at our front yard. I run to the side of the house to avoid them, and see through the basement window that a friend of mine and Audrey are trapped inside. They can't go upstairs because they'll be spotted by the people now entering the house. They attempt to go through a broken window, but I stop them because I don't want them to be cut. After I stop them, Audrey tries to break out a different window. I tell them to stop, and to follow me. I go all the way around to the other side of the house, around the back, and pop out a loose screen from the window nearest the front. I crawl in, and help them get out. Then, my dad finds me downstairs. He is angry that I broke something. I insist that I didn't. My brother stands next to me, like dad's paid thug put there to intimidate me. A huge window next to me, like a sliding glass door, spreads with small, thin cracks like shattering ice. Once the cracks reach the opposite side of the door, the entire door snaps and the glass falls to the ground. My dad is irate with me, but I tell him it wasn't my fault. I go back outside to the back yard, where I over-hear a popular girl talking about going on a vacation to Hawaii with all the popular guys. She brags about being alone with all of them. The girls mom doesn't care at all, until the spoiled girl does something that the mom doesn't like. The mom uses the vacation as a punishment, and tells her that she will not be going. The snotty girl is beyond angry. I glance down the stairs I stand near, and see the guy I like. He is the boyfriend of the spoiled girl, though he doesn't want to be. He waves to me to come, and I sneak downstairs to be with him. He tells me quickly to hide. My sneaking and hiding skills stink, but I manage to hide under a table before the girl comes downstairs. She orders the boy to find out what they are going to bring to Hawaii, full intentions still on going even though her mother said no. He, instead, tells her that she needs to help him find his VHS tapes and he places a big box full of them in front of me to conceal me better. She looks in the box, almost seeing me, but I stay still enough that she doesn't notice me. The girl starts chewing him out, knowing that he is breaking up with her by asking her to find his tapes. [End]
