Black Dahlia Flowers

I am in the back field/lot beyond the trees in my dad's back yard with my mom and my little cousin Shelby. Everything has a grey hue, like it's cold and over cast. Shelby wants to run into the right area of the field, up a little weed-covered incline to find the black flowers beyond, but we stop her because there could be snakes. To make it safe, we go inside and get in tall boots, jeans, and winter coats. I find a paper towel cardboard roll, and thing about cutting it in half and slicing down one side to make leg protectors for Shelby but my mom says that it's not necessary, that her boots will work just fine. My other young cousin, Johnathan, insists that everyone wears bug spray to keep the mosquitoes off. By the fire place near the back door, I use a can of bug spray that's almost empty, so what comes out is wet and concentrated. I don't get an even spray. My dad stands nearby, also getting ready I think. Johnathan, who sits on the red bricks of the fireplaces, sprays me with his can secretly and playfully, but I tell him to stop because he almost gets it in my eyes. He continues anyways, and I have to get really serious to get him to stop. Then, it's time to head outside. I look out, and see that it's pouring rain. I get excited and head out first, because I love the rain. I lead everyone into the back yard, down the path that leads to the back field. I look at the rain drops hitting against the puddles collected on the ground as we go, admiring their beauty. There is a fence that has no gate but a split that works like a gate, but my dad has locked it up with rusty chains wrapped around a bucket. I undo it half way, but it becomes a pain and I don't want to upset my dad because he will have to be the one to put it back. I put what I undid inside the horizontal bucket stuck on the top of the flimsy wire fence, and decide the easiest way is to either go to the other gate which I know is also going to be no fun to unlock, or just jump over. Jump over I do. But, when I look backwards, everyone is gone. All I see is fog all around me in this back field, suffocating the trees and myself. It gets so thick I can't see the road across the way nor the neighbors. I see the "black dahlia flowers" that we were going to pick are starting to bloom. I start to panic, feeling isolated and in danger. I jump back over the fence, but still, I am alone. Going back over didn't take me out of this Silent Hill-like place. I run down to the other gate, thinking maybe I can figure my way out using that gate instead, but it seems to be welded shut. [End]

Relative to Real Life~
Night of July 21st, 2013
Real-life characters: Mom, Shelby, Johnathan, Dad.
Dream-created characters: None.
Real-life places: Dad's back yard, Dad's back field, living room near fire place.
Dream-created places: None.
Different than real life: There is now a huge garage in the back field instead of it being open like it was before and in my dream, where there was an incline in my dream there is actually a fence with a gate now and before the fence was there there was no incline, there are no black flowers in the back field but I have seen snakes there, Johnathan and Shelby have never been to my Dad's place, my mom hasn't been to that house in over two years now, I haven't been in the back field in at least a year or two, where I dreamed there was the first gate I come to is actually where the back yard fence meets the new garage, and the second weak gate in the fence is where the real gate is, the fence is more sturdy than I dreamt, I've never seen it as foggy there as I dreamt.
Precognitive: (7-23-13) I had no idea that a Dahlia was an actual flower until after this dream. I knew who Black Dahlia was because of a song that I listen to is titled My Black Dahlia and I did some research onto the meaning of the title and, unfortunately, found the crime photos. DO NOT SEARCH BLACK DAHLIA unless real life gore doesn't unsettle you. But, back on the topic of the flower, my dream translated Dahlia into a flower in this dream before I even knew that a Dahlia was a flower. It doesn't come in black and the real Dahlia flowers don't look like what I saw in my dream, but none the less I saw "black Dahlia flowers" in my dream.
Reoccurring: No.
