I’m in class with Samantha and a bunch of old classmates. It really feels like old times sitting next to her, feeling at home. I drop my pencil bag and pens scatter everywhere. I try to pick the multi-colored pens up but Larry and a few other guys act like jerks and kick them around as I’m awkwardly bent half-under the table. I tell them to knock it off but they roll their eyes at me. With Sam’s back-up, they end up stopping. I get all the pens collected when the bell rings. I awkwardly carry all of my stuff with Sam out into the hall, where we merrily part ways. We don’t have the next class together, but I know that I’ll see her after school.
I proceed to the art room, where I see Bell sitting at the table closest to the door. I go to some empty seat in the middle of the room. All the desks feel to close together, and there’s backpacks and coats cluttering the space. I’m just happy to be here though. I get out my art and sit at my table. Mr. C starts giving us our lesson via the projector, but I barely pay attention. Bell is trying to talk to me, as is Landra. [End]
