Me and mom are going through this dark storage-feeling building. We can’t touch the ground as some sort of test. We climb through the rafters and I use two bookshelves, climbing on one as mom holds it and tipping the other over so I can stand on it, to reach our goal at the end. In order to hold the bookcase, Mom had to be standing on the ground, which defeated the whole don’t-touch-the-ground thing, but oh well. I still made it. [End]

To dream that you are taking a test, indicates that you are being put to the test or being scrutinized in some way. If you fail the test, then it suggests that you are feeling inadequate or insecure about some aspect of your waking life. If you ace the test, then it means that you are prepared and ready for the task at hand. There is also the notion that if you visualize success, than you will achieve success. Thus, this dream may be a "practice exercise" for you to visualize success in your real life. Alternatively, the dream may be a pun on "feeling testy" and irritated.
If you dream about taking a test or exam, you are measuring yourself up in some way.
The test itself can represent problems and obstacles that you face in waking life.
Dreaming that you are studying for or taking a test and worrying that you won’t pass can mean that you are afraid of failure. If you dream that you show up late for a test, can’t find the exam room, come unprepared, hand in a blank paper or fail the test, you could be worried about being able to handle the challenges you are facing in life. Such dreams may also indicate anxiety about sexual performance.
On a positive note, if you dream of passing a test, your unconscious could be assuring you that you have every right to feel confident about your abilities.
To dream of a certain place in your dream, is telling of your inner state of mind. Consider the feel, the appearance, and the coloring of the place. Also consider your own personal feelings and memories with that particular place.
To see a building in your dream, represents the self and the body. How high you are in the building indicates a rising level of understanding, awareness or success. If you are in the lower levels of the building, then it refers to more primal attitudes and/or sexuality.
To see a building in ruins or damaged, indicates that your approach toward a situation or relationship is all wrong. You need to change. Your own self-image may have suffered and taken some blow.
To dream that a building collapses, indicates that you are losing sight of your ambitions and goals. Your pursuit for material gains is failing.
To dream that you or someone fall off a building, suggests that you are descending into the realm of unconscious. You are learning about and acknowledging aspects of your unconscious. Alternatively, it symbolizes your fear of not being able to complete or succeeding in a task.
To dream that you are scaling or climbing a building, indicates that you are getting carried away by your ambitions.

To dream that you are on the ground, represents your foundation and support system. It is also the boundary between your conscious and unconscious. You may be getting closer in confronting and acknowledging your unconscious thoughts. The dream may be a pun on being well-grounded and down to earth or that you have been grounded. Perhaps you are feeling restricted in some aspects of your life.

To dream of an end to something, represents an achievement or goal that has been reached. It may also mean that the bad times are coming to an end. Or perhaps your time is running out and you need to come to a decision about some issue. The end of something also signals the beginning of something new.
To dream that you are holding something, suggests that you are trying to control or manipulate this object. Consider the significance and symbolism of this object. Holding may also signify protection, responsibility, or possession.
All things that flow and grow were regarded in early religions as a symbol
of life: fire represented the vital craving for nourishment, water was chosen for its
fertilizing powers, plants because of their verdure in spring-time. Now, all—or
very nearly all—symbols of life are also symbolic of death. Media vita in morte
sumus, observed the mediaeval monk, to which modern science has replied La vie
c’est la mort (Claude Bernard). Thus, fire is the destroyer, while water in its
various forms signifies dissolution, as suggested in the Psalms. In legend and
folklore, the Origin of life—or the source of the renewal of the life forces—takes
the form of caves and caverns where wondrous torrents and springs well up (38).
Seeing your relatives in your dream means family issues or feelings. They represent some aspect of your own self.
