Skye and Angus

Dad is driving on dark highways toward Disney Land with me and Skye. I am holding Skye in my lap. Dad tells me that we have to make a stop. He pulls up and parks at a warehouse-type building. I wait for him here for a long time, but he takes forever. So, I leave Skye in the car and follow him inside. I find the place is full of reptiles in clear display cages in the walls- only lit by a few lamps.
I run into Angus, who wants to hold Skye- saying he thinks Skye is just the cutest thing. When I hand Skye over to him, he accidentally puts him in a pin with a porcupine. The porcupines pines are hard, dark, red corn. Angus tells me my dad is calling my phone, as he works to get Skye out of the pin. I grab my phone, which is vibrating on the stand near us, and answer it. Dad starts yelling at me for not answering, and I try to explain that my phone was on vibrate- which I set because I went to the theater or went somewhere where a phone ringing would be inappropriate. He continues to yell anyway, threatening next time that he’ll send an alarm to my phone to make sure it goes through. He shouts continuously, on and on, and I just stand there and take it.
He screams that I remind him of Leon. I harshly object, but he is insistent. He even goes so far as to say that I still love Leon. Me and Angus’s eyes meet. “That is a lie,” I say coldly into the phone, and hang up. [End]

Relative to Real Life~
Night of September 4th, 2012 (2 of 2)
Real-life characters: Dad, Skye, Angus, “Leon”.
Dream-created characters: Porcupine.
Real-life places: “Disney Land”.
Dream-created places: Dark roads, building.
Different than real life: I harbor no feelings of love or affection for Leon any longer, I have spoken to Angus maybe twice and not once since I graduated high school in 2011.
Reoccurring: Skye interacting with a Porcupine is a reoccurring theme. http://dreamcatcher.net/zurastar/17221
Precognitive: No experiences yet.
Notes: I read that porcupines in dreams represent the “need to look out for yourself and protect yourself from emotional or psychological harm”. I believe both dreams which have this Skye-and-porcupine theme occurred when I was having issues with my dad. I can relate Skye as the more fragile, emotional part of me that I wish to protect, and the porcupine symbolizes my dad/me wanting to protect my fragile self from him.
