Construction Job, Car Crash Girl

I have a job at some kind of manufacturing/construction company, located just outside of town to the east. The businesses long, main building which me and a group of coworkers are working on constructing, is located along the highway. It’s in fact so long and close to the road that all of the parking spaces are located on one side of the building, and all of them are in a single file row. It’s a pain to find parking among my colleges, but we all manage.
I’m relatively new in this position, though the business itself is new so I’m not the only one. A girl with long red hair is my favorite coworker, and she too takes a liking to me. We semi-awkwardly become friends.
The more of the building we complete, the further up we get to park. We get so far forward, that I find some parking spaces inside the bathrooms that we can now use. There’s only two in there, but they’re the closest to construction we’re doing. My friend leaves to retrieve her car and park next to me in the available space, but another college takes it before she gets the chance.
I go and find where my friend is parked before she gets the chance waist the drive up to the bathroom parking. We have an awkward conversation about me being worried she wouldn’t want to be my friend anymore since I lost her the parking space, and she dramatically hugs me and tells me otherwise.
After construction for the day is done, I spend my free time shooting my bow. There’s a little range set up outside of the building that I can take advantage of. It’s basically one foam target across the highway, not much else. I stand between a couple of trees and hit the foam target with ease. Sam and Dean show up, and watch me. Dean is impressed when I hit every target, including the stars of Orion’s belt marked on a poster paper tacked onto the foam target. I miss the middle star of the belt, though, which disappoints myself more than it does Dean.
Normally I shoot my bow at sunrise, when there’s no cars traveling on the highway to get in my way. However at this time of day, people start to show up- driving across my path of aim. The last thing I want is to accidentally hit a car, so I do a lot of waiting as the cars to pass.
Suddenly, during my waiting, I see a car violently crash and roll off the road. At the same time as the car rolls into the ditch, I hear a girl shout like she was hit. A semi pulls off the road, followed by at least five other cars who are also witnesses to the event.
I immediately pull out my phone and call 911. They ask me if I wanted to report an emergency, or get statistics on crime rates in the local area. I wrinkle my nose at the stupid question as I walk toward the highway, toward the wrecked car. I tell the dispatcher that I witnessed a car crash on the highway between my town the town’s nearest neighboring town, toward Colorado. I tell her that I’m not sure if the girl is going to make it.
Me, Sam, and Dean go and find the young, slightly chubby girl laid out on the ground on her back. She wears a deep pink shirt and has blond hair. The girl sits up when we reach her, to all of our surprise. The dispatch asks me what age the girl is, and I say, “Around eleven?” The girl nods in agreement so I know that I got her age right. I hang up on the dispatch to focus on the girl. She talks to Dean about how strong she is, saying that’s the reason she’s not hurt to bad.
I look down the road anxiously. I realize that I never really told the dispatch to send an ambulance, so there’s a chance one isn’t on the way. Thankfully, one shows up. [End]
