Galaxy Eggs, Scaffolding Test

Granny, Papa, my uncle, aunt, Johnathan, and Shelby are at me and Mom’s house. Granny painted two goose eggs blue and purple, making them look like a galaxy. She hands them to me and tells me that I should hide them in the back yard. Easter has already passed, but since we missed it she figures it’d be a fun little way to celebrate it.
I try to find hiding places for them in the back yard, but it’s just past sunset and getting darker by the second. I can’t seem to find a good place at all. In the process I crack up the eggs’ shells and flatten them considerable, like floppy pancake eggs. I almost hide one in the gutter, but Mom spots me and I have to try and find some other place.
After all of that I go on some kind of a trip with some classmates my age. It’s less like a field trip and more like a malicious survival of the fittest test. Only a few will make it to the end.
We all climb up precariously balanced scaffolding. Half of the class has reached a rooftop, the other half waits below me ready to climb up. I am a fat young boy, balanced on the top of the thinnest part of the scaffolding on my stomach. The surface of the scaffolding here is covered in glass, like a long glass shelf over metal and wood criss-crossing bars. I try to slide across on my tum, but the skin of my stomach sticks to the glass and prevents me from moving. I have to carefully remove the glass from under me and set it on the scaffolding below so that I can shimmy closer to the rooftop. Even then, my movements make the entire scaffolding rock. When I move the last pane of glass, the entire top part of the scaffolding falls to the right, taking me plummeting hundreds of feet to the Earth with it.
I’m no longer the boy, but rather myself waiting with the group below the falling scaffolding. Everyone watches and some even cheer as the wood and metal splatter on the ground, piles of money exploding from them. I find myself feeling sorry for the boy, but knowing that only the strongest will survive this and he never stood a chance. [End]
